Introducing WYSIWYG editing in quizzes and polls

Turning PowerPoint presentations into interactive lessons is as easy as inserting readymade, interactive content like quizzes, polls, and other interactive content available from the Quizzes Videos Apps command in Office Mix. Writing quiz and poll questions just got easier with WYSIWYG editing:

This functionality on this floating toolbar is available for all quizzes and polls that you can insert in a mix:

How to add an image to a quiz question

The easiest way to add an image to a question is to search the Internet for the image (e.g., using Bing Images), right-click the image, copy the URL, and then paste it into the URL box of the Image Properties dialog.

The remaining fields in the dialog allow you to:

  • Scale the image up or down (by typing a Width or Height value in pixels).
  • Add a border around the image (by typing a border thickness in pixels).
  • Distance the image from the surrounding text (by typing the horizontal (HSpace) or vertical (VSpace) distance in pixels).
  • Float the image on the left or right side of the text (by selecting an Alignment item).

How to add a formula to a quiz question

To add a formula in the Mathematics in TeX dialog, you must use LaTeX markup language. To learn more about LaTeX/Mathematics, visit http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/LaTeX/Mathematics.
